
What is Natural Health?
Natural health is all encompassing care that looks at the natural maturing process of the person. The Practitioner is focused on the patient that is right in front of them. Treatment is first centered on using nutrients and supplements as opposed to prescription drugs. Prescription drugs are used when necessary.
What is hormone balancing?
Although I will have a fuller article on this on my page, hormone balancing includes more than your sex hormones. This includes your thyroid hormones (regulates metabolism and heart rate) and neurotransmitters (regulates emotions and behaviors). Your whole being needs to be in harmony to experience optimal health.
What are bioidentical hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are prescription compounded hormones that come from a natural source such as plants with no chemical fillers, colors or binders. This decreases the chemical burden on the body.
But, as with any hormone, there is still a risk of cancer and that is not to be ignored.
What kind of patient will be right for this practice?
Someone that is curious, motivated, optimistic, positive and invested in their mind and body processes. They understand maturing is a natural part of life and understands that nothing is perfect and we will not reach perfection. Someone that is ready to find the root cause of their chronic pain, mood changes, menstrual irregularities, weight issues, painful intercourse, chronic migraines, emotional imbalances and more. Patients will include men and women 16 years of age and up.
What kind of patient is wrong for this practice?
Any person that is expecting immediate results or one visit. This is a process and lifestyle type Medicine. This is a practice of peace, calm and motivation. Anyone that does not respect this will be recommended elsewhere.
What if I have complicated health conditions?
In collaboration with your provider or specialist we can find the best treatment for you. I will not be managing your medications but will make recommendations to your provider. It is necessary that providers respect one another and their work. I do not believe in splitting and judging other providers. Everyone is doing the best they can with what thave available to them. Remember a number of Practitioners work under contracts that limit coloring outside the lines.
Are you available 24/7?
Available during office hours and email messages seen daily not on weekends. Please allow 24 hours for response. All lab and kit results are reviewed in person or virtually at follow-up. Please do not email regarding "next steps" or "treatment plan". If you are interested in having labs drawn, please schedule an appointment to discuss this.
What is your appointment policy?
You can schedule a visit online. All cancellations with less than 24 hour notice will result in a $50 fee. This is non-negotiable.
Can I leave a voice message?
No, text and email are preferred with specific detail (using appropriate etiquette), phone messages have a tendency to get lost and result in poor communication.
How do I get a prescription refilled?
An email or text stating no more than your name, date of birth, medication, and specify if brand name only.
Can you be my primary care provider?
No, is the first straight forward answer. Although primary care trained, the goal here is to focus on your balance. Focused visits will allow for the best use of time. As an adjunct to your primary care provider, the goal is your enhanced wellness.
Do you accept insurance?
No. Some testing and lab tests may be covered by your insurance based on your deductible and you can submit the receipt from you consult to your insurance for reimbursement.
